The ROADIDEA project takes 30 months to complete, progressing from the technical platform development to service innovation and validation phases. The project is divided into nine Work Packages:
Work Package 1 coordinates all project activities, monitors and assesses the progress of project and its results and communicates with the Commission.
Work Package 2 analyses and implements the available data sources to ROADIDEA system.
Work Package 3 is on data filtering and fusion methods and develops road condition model using available data.
Work Package 4 studies the available data and its potential to create new services for driver and passenger support in various phases of the transport chain.
Work Package 5 implements the innovation procedures in a systematic way in two major cycles and continuously in between.
Work Package 6 specifies and implements those innovations that the users have found most useful, urgent and beneficial.
Work Package 7 analyses the present and makes recommendations for future business models, performs relevant cost/benefit studies.
Work Package 8 validates the project results and pilot services using assessments from partners and end users. Developed models are verified with comprehensive verification schemes comparing with observations and other comparable models.
Work Package 9 aims at disseminating project results in an effective way to European stakeholders and paving way to commercial exploitation with proper management of intellectual property.
